The network media:net berlinbrandenburg e.V. is one of the largest regional networks of the media, creative and digital industries. We are now a member of this network and, together with around 400 other companies in the creative industries, ensure that our interests are represented at the location. In addition, together we carry the strength and importance of the industry to the outside world.
With 77,000 jobs in more than 9,000 companies and a turnover of almost 10 billion euros, the digital economy in Berlin is making a massive contribution to the capital's economic growth. And the trend is upwards: the number of employees is increasing by more than 15 percent a year, and one in eight new jobs in Berlin is in the digital economy.
At the same time, as a medium-sized company, we face major challenges that inhibit growth and innovation. A major problem for us is finding qualified web developers at our locations. To meet our customers' high demand for innovative web solutions, we have already collaborated with virtual teams in Eastern Europe and India.
berlin.digital is an initiative of the network media:net berlinbrandenburg e.V. and works against these challenges with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, networking and advocacy. Together, we are committed to ensuring that Berlin remains a winner in the digital transformation.
