Blackbit developed a web portal as well as an app for our long-standing customer, set up a new API interface for automatic synchronization between PIM and CRM and thus created a convenient, unbureaucratic and service-oriented processing of the leasing offer.

Founded only in 2015, Bikeleasing-Service GmbH & Co KG is one of the fastest growing and leading leasing providers in the highly competitive service bike market. The reliable service and attractive conditions for bike dealers, companies as well as employees make it one of the top providers for bike leasing in Germany and Austria.

In the course of the bicycle boom since the Corona Year 2020, the increasingly popular service bike leasing is experiencing a strong boost. Together with Blackbit, Bikeleasing developed a strategy to benefit as much as possible from the boom. The goal was clear: away from paper and towards an online portal and app for the smoothest possible leasing process with the added service typical of Bikeleasing - minimal effort and uncomplicated processes.

Intuitive usability for unbureaucratic service processing

The focus of the new service offering was on modern, user-friendly processing through completely digital processes: from registration and mobile contract management to simple processing of damage claims and possible takeover offers at the end of the term.

The greatest challenge was the logical sequence of the necessary sub-processes in the leasing business, their mapping in the system and automation in order to continue to guarantee an uninterrupted user journey. The solution: a new API interface to link the CRM with the new application.

Technically strong: old Pimcore rebuilt using Quasar and Vue.JS frameworks

Bikeleasing already relied on the Pimcore web platform together with Blackbit in 2018 - so the technical foundations were already in place. Through continuous data synchronization, the leasing contracts maintained in the CRM are now automatically synchronized with the PIM system. This was followed by the optimization of the design and presentation of the bike leasing app according to the mobile-first concept for use on smartphones and tablets.

All steps in the leasing process were implemented with the usual high security standard: Activation and use of the app and the portal are only possible with a valid user ID. Without registration, customers only have limited access to selected functions.

Both sides can be proud of the result: The further development of the online portal as well as the Bikeleasing app brought Bikeleasing in Germany a growth of 100,000 newly registered employees. At the same time, its position in the Austrian market was strengthened. As a result, the company bike service now has more than 38,000 companies with over 2.1 million employees as its regular customer base.

Leasing contracts can be concluded and self-managed by all customers with just a few clicks; approvals in the leasing process can be given or obtained completely digitally. Contract processes can be completed in a single visit to the dealer. Particularly practical for the self-employed and freelancers: the integrated function for automatic Schufa comparison.
