What happens when structure meets creativity - and Figma meets good music? Exactly: Tim is at work! Our UX/UI designer reveals why he can't work without bass, how order and chaos go hand in hand in his projects and why poorly structured Figma files are his personal nemesis.

Hello and welcome to Blackbit! How did you actually come to us?
Via a Google search!, laughs Tim. I just looked to see what was out there and came across Blackbit. After that, I made initial contact - I was really friendly - and it was clear that it was a good fit! Joining the team was then only a matter of time.
What exactly do you do with us?
I'm a UX/UI designer, my tasks are varied, but my passion is definitely UX/UI design. I love solving problems right at the root together with customers and colleagues. I mainly use Figma and the Adobe Suite. Oh yes - and when the bass is right, my creativity runs particularly well, he says with a laugh and taps his favorite song on Spotify.
How would you describe your working style?
Structured, but not rigid, he reflects briefly. I like it tidy, but sometimes a bit of chaos is needed to develop creative ideas. Teamwork is super important to me - you simply reach your goal faster together.
What does a perfect day in the office look like?
No boredom, new challenges or a fresh customer project where the customer responds to our suggestions, he says. And to be honest: Magic Mouse, caffeine and a good mood are essential in everyday agency life. Nothing works for me without this mixture.
And outside the office?
I enjoy riding my motorcycle or exploring the world with friends, he says with a laugh. I also try my hand at small projects and always keep myself curious. For me, a perfect Sunday is good weather, a barbecue and time for spontaneous things - sometimes just doing nothing, that's important too.
What makes you special?
I'm willing to learn, curious and keep an overview, even when things get hectic. But admittedly, I also have a little weakness for sweets. And poorly structured Figma files? They really drive me up the wall!
And a fun fact at the end?
My bucket list: owning my own golf cart. I already have concrete plans ... He laughs. And my motto? Design is not just how it looks, but how it works. That's exactly what I try to put into practice every day.

Kerstin is a media designer and proofreader—everything set in Latin letters at Blackbit has been scrutinized by her eagle eye. Her meticulousness stems from a deep love of language. And because all is fair in love and war, she mercilessly wields her red pen in the fight against awkward phrasing, clumsy metaphors, and lame comparisons.
